Overall, Alexei has has a poor grass court season but this tournament will be on hard courts, something he excels on. Steve Johnson finally strung a few wins together at the Los Cabo’s tournament last week. This season Popyrin is 6-4 on the surface whereas Steve Johnson is 2-4. I think given Alexei’s poor run of form he’ll look to turn it around today on his favoured and better surface today.
