[Football- Champions League Qualifications] 27.7/ 18:00 Flora Tallin- Legia Warszawa
The home side had a successful start to the continental campaign, as they managed to advance to the second qualifying round. Flora eliminated the Maltese champions, Hibernians, with a comfortable 5:0 aggregate win. However, a more challenging task is ahead of Jurgen Henn’s side, as they face the best Polish club. The Estonian side needs to chase a 2:1 advantage of their rivals, although they were just minutes away from a 1:1 draw. Rauno Sappinen and the lads will try to make a sensation, but it won’t be easy.
Legia opened its domestic campaign with a narrow 1:0 win over Wisla Plock last weekend. Czeslaw Michniewicz’s side was lucky to secure a 2:1 advantage from the first leg, as they scored a winner deep into the stoppage time. The Polish champions had a challenging tie in the first qualifying round, as they faced the Norwegian side, Bodo/Glimt. However, Tomas Pekhart and the lads were better in both legs, securing a 5:2 aggregate win. The visitors have an excellent chance of advancing to the next round, where they could potentially meet Dinamo Zagreb. The home side needs to press forward and could leave a lot of space for the opponent’s counter-attacks. Legia is more experienced in this kind of game, and we believe they should get back home with another win.
