Badosa was having the best year of her career before she suffered a heat stroke in Tokyo quarterfinals and I expect her to pick up right where she left off here in Canada. Golubic has also been playing well in her own right but has looked significantly less impressive doing so. It’s hard to encapsulate It by looking at the numbers but it simply looks like Badosa is a future top 10 player and Golubic just looks like she’s on a good run. I think Badosa is a little fired up from her early Olympic exit and looks to prove she’s a future star in women’s tennis.
