[Tennis- ATP Vienna] 27.10/ 17:00 A. Murray- C.Alcaraz
Here we are once again at ATP Vienna! I'm honestly loving this tournament not only because it's super easy to find valuable odds but also fantastic matchups with a ton of good players wanting to compete for an ATP 500, not to mention the amazing and emotional crowd!
You all probably know this guy but let's talk about Andy Murray ... Once upon a time he was the best player in the world and managed to do it in the big 3 era with 2016 being his best season winning 9 titles in one year but now at 34 his physique is the worst aspect of his game but he's showing up quite fine now at the end of 2021. He was and still is one of the best defensive players on the circuit and pretty much a god playing from the baseline with his playing style suitable for fast surfaces. Technique, return, 1st serve, strong mentality, shot variation, backhand... This dude had it all and those things can start to go away a bit but the talent is always there and you still experience that in his matches.
If on one side we have a tennis veteran on the other we are presented with one of the most promising players on the circuit. 18 years old Carlos Alcaraz won't take long to move to the top 10 specially with Ferrero as his coach. He's already shown that he has a good mentality obtaining a record of 39-17 this year and winning a clay tournament. His playing style is suitable for all surfaces and his attack oriented tennis is honestly so refreshing to watch... Only thing that he has to improve is his service but apart from that he has all the qualities to be a top player in the future.
Bookies give Murray slight favouritism due to how well he plays Indoor and also because he managed to win against Hurkacz on the 1st round but Alcaraz is super young and has physical advantage on him if the match goes to distance. Both players are super good technically and honestly I can't choose a winner but I'm sure that this match probably goes to 3 sets and if not results of 7-6/6-4 or 7-6/6-3 are very likely to happen if this ends up with only 2.
With 2 fantastic players on the return it's likely that even if one breaks the other they are capable of giving the counter break right after and that results in sets going to distance with tiebreaks being likely to happen
Andy Murray's last 5 matches had over 21.5 games. He's not the type of player to let it go easily even if he ends up losing the match
These two faced each other at Indian Wells 17 days ago with Murray winning in 3 sets
Both players shine even more if the crowd happens to be very emotional and at ATP Vienna we have that for sure! This results in players being able to pull out from bad situations which gives us higher chances of having a longer match!
