Charleroi are surprisingly the number 6 of the Belgian League. They've got a great squad this year and are doing better then expected since they ended on a 13th spot last year. Bad news first: last week they lost their striker Shamar Nicholson to Spartak Moscow for 9M. He had 13 goals and 5 assists in 18 games and was one of the reasons they did so good. It's a dent in the team's squad but they still have loads of great players to back this loss. Vakoun Bayo came in as a loan player from Gent to fill the gap Nicholson created. Goalie Koffi is having a great season with 5 clean sheets in his last 10 appearances. Defenders Andreou and Knezevic are also having a great season and Ditu and Van Cleemput (still questionable) should be back this match to strenghten the defence. But Midfielders Ilaimaharitra, Zorgane, Gholizadeh and Morioka is the reason why this team is thriving imo.
OH Leuven are 4 points away from the relegation zone. They had a bad start of the season with 1 win, 6 draws and 3 losses. In their last 5 they won 2 and lost 3. In their 2 losses to Brugge they looked kinda lost, Cercle proved them Club Brugge isn't the team they were last year and are definitely beatable. Mercier and Maertens are in form but the rest of the team are performing average and the defence is easily exposable.
Charleroi will be missing Shamar Nicholson but they have enough scoring capabilities to get the win here. Charleroi is also the 2nd best away team in the league.
