A huge game in the champions league as Leo Messi meets an old rival once again in Real Madrid. PSG come into this game on good form having not lost since their game against Manchester City in November. They’re starting to find their feet as a team with a great performance against OGC Nice and a solid defensive display against Rennes. Real Madrid have struggled over the last few weeks whilst Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior have been unavailable with injury. They have scored just one goal in the last three games. Vinicius Jr is healthy but Benzema is a doubt. Benzema is the key really, without him I don’t think they will be able to score against this PSG defence. If Benzema plays I still like this play because he won’t be fully match fit and won’t have full match sharpness so his impact may be somewhat diminished. For PSG, Neymar is in a similar boat to Benzema where he is 50/50 whether he will play. However, if Neymar doesn’t play, Di Maria will play who isn’t the same level of footballer as Neymar but he is a much harder worker and I think he suits the team better as they don’t have too many players willing to do the “dirty work” and work hard for the team out of possession. Then of course you have the X factor of the greatest player of all time in Leo Messi. In all honesty, I think we’re going to see a masterclass from him. I would sprinkle a few units on a Messi goal (or 2) at a price of 2.6 which is an absolute steal. Finally, if you are uncomfortable with the PSG win at 2.09, you can get a price of o1.5 PSG at around 1.85. I would usually go for this however, I just don’t like the price and can easily see this being a 1-0 as Real Madrid don’t want to possibly lose the tie in the first game. All in all I think we’re going to see a great star studded game and I would encourage anyone to watch this game if they can!
