I think United's poor form has been overexaggerated a bit. If you just look at the results then sure its not been the best form but when you dig into the XG United have been very good over the last few games. United dominated proceedings in their draws against Burnley and Southampton but were let down by poor finishing. Outside of those draws United have picked up some solid wins against Brighton and West Ham recently and this has them in 4th position in the league table.
Leeds have really struggled this season. This has mainly been down to a load of injuries in what is already quite a thin squad. Unfortunately the injury concerns do not get any better for Leeds as they will still be without their best Striker (Bamford) and their best midfielder (Phillips) for this game. Dallas is also doubtful to play. United meanwhile have their first choice 11 fit for this one and their attacking players are starting to find form over the last few games too.
Leeds have lost 7 of their 8 league games against teams currently in the top 7 of the table this season. 3 of these losses coming at home. Of course United won the reverse fixture way back on opening day by the score of 5-1.
The main concern for me here is that this is a huge rivalry game for Leeds and they will be bouyed on by the home crowd in this one. I do however think that this is reflected in the odds. United will not lack motivation in this game either as they are in a dogfight for Champions league qualification.
