However, we move on to Real Sociedad v Leipzig who are already playing their second leg. The first leg in Germany finished 2-2 and now both teams have everything to play for today to secure going into the next round.

What scares me from this bet is Real Sociedad who is a team that tends to have very low scoring games in the spanish league due to their solid defense. However, recently this has not been the case since 3/5 of their last matches have gone over 2.5. On the other hand, Leipzig is a team that loves to score but has a somewhat shaky defense as well. All their last 4 games have been goal fests with 4+ goals each. But why do I believe this will happen today again? What I think is that there might be an early goal in this game which will make the other team play more attacking football due to them having nothing to lose since the winner of this game goes through. If one of the teams decides to go full attacking that will open many opportunities, either counter attacks or goals from the attacking team. And I believe there might be an early goal due to the fact that Leipzig is not a team that sits back and wait. They like to attack, have the game in control and score goals. Also they have a lot of qualities but have been in a bit of ups and downs this season. In the UCL group stages all their games went over 2.5 as they finished with 15 goals scored and 14 goals against. Also Nkunku has been in amazing form this season so hopefully he shows up today as well.

So I hope Leipzig continues their good goal scoring perfomances they have had in European competitions and Sociedad’s defense have a bit of an off day. Anyhow, I think over 2.5 has a lot of value at these odds and is a bet that I wouldn’t miss out.
