[Football- Belgium 'SuperCup] 17.7/ 20:45 Club Brugge -Genk
Club Brugge almost wasted their advantage on the top of the table last season, but they managed to lift the title. The hosts booked only one win in the playoffs and lost to their upcoming rivals in the final round. Bas Dost and the lads have been clinical in front of the oppositions’ net but not tight enough in the back. Club Brugge failed to keep the clean sheet in all six prep matches, while Simon Mignolet should be sidelined for this clash.
Genk was in excellent form in the Championship round, which launched them to 2nd spot. They needed just a point to win the title, but the visitors managed to beat their upcoming rivals. John van den Brom’s side has been pretty productive in prep matches but also conceded against Groningen and AZ Alkmaar. Head-to-head clashes between these two sides have been pretty efficient lately. One of the teams managed to keep the clean sheet just once on the previous 11 occasions. Therefore, we believe we should see goals in both nets.
