[Tennis- ATP Gstaad] 22.7/ 15:30 T.Griekspoor- B.Paire
We always have known Paire as a dude with an incredible talent but also as a dude who really doesn't give a f*ck if he wins a tournament or not. He always took advantage of the ATP system since he is an entertainer and people want to see him in tournaments because even if he's not consistent he still shows some skills and people love it. Just for showing up at smaller tournaments like ATP 250's he still earns a lot even if he doesn't go much further but recently the organization gave him a warning about his behaviour when playing Tennis and if he doesn't show that he wants to win matches things can quickly go downhill for him.
So now he seems a bit more focused on not only the entertainer side but on the tennis player side that wants to win matches. He made a solid ATP 500 Hamburg campain (also on clay) only dropping to Delbonis because he choked with 4 match points in his hand and we also have to recognize that Delbonis is a quality player on Clay.
This time he faces a Griekspoor ranked 115th and most of the matches that we find from him at Clay were played at "Challengers" against players out of the top 100 rather than ATP tournaments.
I know people hate to bet on Paire but this time at 2.01 I will go on him. Now with a new mindset he has what it takes to get this win and go further on this tournament, he can't just show that he doesn't care about the outcome of a match since he had a warning and in terms of quality there's no arguing about who's the better player with the most talent here.
