The current leader of group H (Qarabag) will face the team from the third place (Kajrat). In my opinion, the hosts should have won three points in this match.
Qarabag has not started the group stage so well in any of these eight seasons. After two matches, they have 4 points and today they have a good chance to increase their achievements. In the first game they drew 0-0 at home with Basel, which I think is a really nice result, because theoretically the club from Switzerland is a stronger team. Of course, the Azerbaijani territory helped here, but they still cannot be denied skill. Especially that they actually dominated this match. They created a lot of opportunities for themselves and to be honest they should win this match, but they were not effective. For example, as in the case of 93 minutes, where 200% of the situation was not used by the forward heading from a clean position and a distance of about 5 meters straight into the goalkeeper. Basel, for a change, did almost nothing in this match under the hosts' goal. Only in the first half it created two situations, but then nothing at all.
However, in the second match, Qarabag won away with Omonia 1: 4. It was a real show of Azerbaijani strength. The guests overwhelmed the team from Cyprus from the very beginning and let them almost do nothing. The only two situations that Omonia had were shots after crosses from set pieces and thanks to one of them they took the lead completely unexpectedly. However, in the second half, they had nothing to say, because Qarabag moved with double force and even swept the opponents off the board, packing them as many as 4 goals.
Kajrat was very lost in defense in his group matches, especially with set pieces. In the only away match they played (with Basel) they lost 4: 2. The two goals they scored resulted from the mega loosening of the hosts, who were leading after 50 minutes already 4: 0. Moreover, during those 50 minutes, Kajrat did absolutely nothing. Only after this time they had a moment to attack, because coach Basel made 4 substitutions and allowed his players to rest. Otherwise, I think that Kajrat would not have scored these two goals. The more so because the hosts themselves gave them one, because one of the defenders lost the ball somewhere 25 meters and on his return he saved himself with a foul somewhere on the edge of the penalty area, for which an eleven was awarded to the guests.
Overall, Qarabag has a unique chance to try and fight for promotion from the group, and today's victory is needed for that. Kajrat is playing poorly and in addition, Vagner Love will most likely not be able to play in the match, who returned to training after an injury only on Monday and I doubt that the coach will field him. And if he does, it shouldn't be in optimal shape anyway.
