[Football- England 'Championship'] 30.12/ 20:45 Notthingham Forest- Huddersfield
To start off, Huddersfield Town is higher in the table, even if only by 2 points. Both teams come into the match in good form, Huddersfield with 8 points and Nottm Forest 10 points in last 5, although they did lose their last match.
Even though Forest is at home, they've been below average, picking up only 15 points in 12 matches, good for 18th out of 24 in the league. Huddersfield has been average away, picking up 13 points in 12, good for 14th.
One worry is that Huddersfield Town's starting CB Tom Lees will likely be out after suffering an injury last match, but they will also get another starting CB Levi Colwill back from illness.
It's true that the Reds won 0-2 in the first meeting, and it's not often you can say the loser looked the better side, but I'm going to say that for HTFC. They dominated possession 70:30, out-shot 10:7, out-shot in the box 7:4, and had more corner kicks.
The first goal they conceded was on the counter, completely against the run of play. The second goal was a pure hustle play after the Terrier GK spilled the ball. On the flip side, Forest GK Brice Samba had a great game, stopping a couple of 1-on-1 chances that could've turned the game around. Personally, he was my MOTM. Even more, analytics graded HTFC higher based on xG, 1.29-0.96.
