[Football- Spain 'La Liga '] 18.1/ 21:30 Cadiz- Espanyol
I’ve been betting against Cádiz within the last month with good success, so I’m doing it again. To start off, Cádiz is just terrible. They’re languishing in 19th, 4 points below safety. They haven’t won in 7 league matches and are winless at home in 10.
Cádiz’s offense is terrible. They have the 2nd fewest goals in the league and haven’t scored in 3 straight league games. The last time they scored multiple goals in a league match was 10/26, courtesy of an Anthony Lozano hat-trick, who is out with a hamstring injury by the way. In their last game, Cádiz couldn’t even score against a Segunda team in 120 minutes. I don’t expect them to score this game.
Cádiz’s defense is terrible. They’ve allowed the 2nd most goals (although they inexplicably have a clean sheet against Real Madrid despite losing in xG 2.80-0.24) and are tied for fewest clean sheets in the league. Espanyol’s perfectly average offense should put at least one or two past them.
I believe the reason for the surprisingly long odds is that Espanyol has been very poor away, with only one win in 10, as well as their inconsistent play, but Cádiz is just sooo bad.
