Bookies are quite dumb when it comes to placing the right odds for players above top 20 which in this case we have the ATP nº11 Hurkacz with a 1.20 odd which is honestly huge disrespect towards Musetti.
The polish made a pretty solid 2021 season and obtained this rank with merit but I don't think he will be able to repeat what we did in the last year mostly because I can find a ton of weaknesses on his game. There's 2 things that Hurkacz does well which is the 1st serve and net play but when his 1st serve percentage is not on point he usually struggles to win a match. This happens because he often makes a ton of unforced errors on both sides and on his 2nd serve.
His opponent Lorenzo Musetti is a super talented young player who sometimes struggles due to his mentality but with his last victory against Ymer I think he could have unlocked his full potential to give everything that he has on this Rotterdam tournament.
Apart from his serve which still has room for improvement he has all the qualities to mess with Hurkacz...
We can talk about his one handed backhand which can control the pace of each point really well and is also a great source of winners for the italian, he also has a solid defensive game due to his great mobility and the most important thing is the technique. Musetti can pull out a ton of tricks out of his pocket such as slices, lobs, passing-shots and drop shots.
