Two contenders for the Premier League playoffs will play at City Ground today.
Nottingham Forest have won nine of their ten home games this year (here in the FA Cup they have defeated Leicester and Arsenal among others, the only defeat being against Liverpool in the Cup). But Forest had a terribly bad start to the season. Chris Hughton was released in mid-September and Steve Cooper took the reins of the team. Under the rule of the Welshman, Forest has grown into one of the best teams in the Championship (only Fulham scored more points in the last 30 rounds). Defenders Steve Cook and Max Lowe are injured.
Coventry is also doing well in the Championship, but the form at the end of the season is slowly fading away (only one win in the last seven games). Moreover, it should be remembered that "The Sky Blues" performs clearly worse on trips (5-6-7) than at home throughout the season. Two midfielders Liam Kelly and Josh Eccles recover from injuries. Defenders Kyle John McFadzean and Jake Clarke-Salter are complaining about resentment and their game is precarious.
The City Ground in Nottingham is a place where it is difficult for any team to play. And today a game of great importance will be played here, especially for the hosts. Sure, Coventry also has some chance of being in the top 6 of the table, but that is rather highly questionable given the team's current form.
