Kasatkina has shown so much lately on grass! Yes she lost the final in Birmingham a few days ago but, what a run it’s been for her on grass. She is the defensive type (like Kostyuk type player) and she does it to near perfection. She will run everywhere and win the last point. Not much to say here, she’s clearly impressive and yesterday she was getting the best off Zvonareva before the latter had to retire. Swiatek is a champion. Her name speaks for her now despite her young age, however not on grass. As she told Andy Murray earlier this year, she needs a lot more grass games under her belt. She had a very hard time and got a bit lucky yesterday against Watson in the decisive set. Don’t expect Kasatkina to loose the mental battle here.
