Not saying that this pick is forced, but I would have preferred holding out a little longer. Players are returning from an extended break and their form will be unpredictable. However, in scenarios like this, goals ensue.

These two are brushing shoulders in the league table with very little between them and the top 5. Still, something like the league title is out of the question. For a team like Lille, who are defending champions, that’s a massive blow. They definitely want some sort of silver lining out of this season and will look to get results in the domestic cup. They’re not out of the Champions League but they drew Chelsea and that’s all the way in March so they’ll probably just focus on what’s realistic and in hand.

Lens go into this as favorites as they’re at home and Lille have some missing players. StIll, they’ve been pushing over their weight in the league and have recently started to slip up, while Lille have been improving their form, rectifying their rocky start to the season.

These two concede and score a good amount of goals as they’re both in the top half of goals scored and conceded. With the cup being their best shot at silverware this season, I highly doubt either one will hold back here.
