Dominik Koepfer is a god damn warrior. He played in Indian Wells after a nice long break following the Aussie swing and proceeded to beat Benoit Pierre in 3 sets and keep the match close enough to go over 22.5 games against one of the best in the world Rublev. The last match Koepfer played that didn’t go over the pregame total was back in January. McDonald is a strong up and coming talent and the rightful favorite, but Koepfer is so proficient at keeping the match close, I would be pretty surprised if this was anything but a nail biter.
