Today’s game is from Romanian league even if I said I’ll try not to post games from this league but my record and units are going pretty bad so I have to...sorry for the ones that don’t have Romanian league in their bookies offer.
The thing with this game is that, Sibiu is really struggling this season, they used to be a contender in this league the years before but now they seem to struggle really badly, their roster only has 4 foreigners even if the rules allow up to 6 and a few Romanian players.. In the first round of the season they were 1.01 favorites and lost 65-84, it wasn’t even a close one that you can say they lost by stupid mistakes in the end of the game … they continued their poor performance in the 2nd round where they lost against Steaua(78-73) where the bookies still seen them as favorites…their main issue is that they don’t really have players...their rotation is basically 5 starters and one guy that comes from the bench...they’re not bad players but they are just a few and that hurts them…
On the other side, Craiova looks like they created a pretty nice roster this season. They started this season in Romanian cup with 2 matches against the last year finalist, Oradea and they managed to eliminate them, they won the first home game by a big margin 79-64, lost the away one 67-58 but they managed to keep the difference below 15 points and they got to the next round.
In the first round of the regular season they faced a pretty bad team, they won 73-58 while having a really poor 4th quarter which they lost 16-8 just because they used the bench players and the difference was comfortable enough.
It looks like their main strength is the defense, they allowed only 63 points per game so far and that can only be a good sign, you know, offense is spectacular and please the public but defense is the one that wins games and championships.
